Get your Coat…

…you’ve pulled!

I can’t quite believe it either but the time is upon us, winter is coming! In my opinion, the best style investments you can make for autumn/winter, is a great coat and a pair of boots. So this month’s blog is all about the new season coats.

I’ve chosen a range of styles, with a nod to the latest AW trends, and I’ve also given you some savvy shopper options!

Let me know which ones you love and if you end up purchasing one be sure to share your selfies!

First up…

The Red Hot Vinyl Coat – red is a big trend for AW 18 and why not go all out with these vinyl coats. The Topshop beauty (left) is £79 and a trend double whammy with the croc print embossed.

The Sies Marjan (right) designer pick is a whopping £1010!

A much softer alternative are these baby pink coats. ASOS curve range (left) has a savvy option for £70 or for your designer fix Calvin Klein have their long line version for £1515.

When i think of wardrobe classics, the trench coat is without a doubt included. Macs/Trench coats are extremely flattering and a great staple in your wardrobe as they can be worn casually with trainers or dressed up with heels/boots. If you feel like pushing the beige boundary, try a brighter colour or check pattern.

Of course, i had to include a leopard print coat, animal prints are so huge this AW18. Left is Next’s offering at £75 or alternatively Max Mara on the right for £1780.

It wouldn’t be much of a winter blog post if I didn’t include some fur (faux!). As much as i love a big faux fur coat, be careful if you are more of an apple shape as these coats in particular can often leave you looking top heavy, which for an apple is what you are trying to avoid.

Perhaps one of the most flattering styles, the long line coat is great for elongating the figure, and a belted version, in particular, brings in the waist.

This is a style that is classic but you can still have fun with. For example, go for a bold colour or daring print to brighten up your season.

Next we have, the puffer coat. I will always love this style because they really do keep you warm! However, be careful with the style you choose, as again you can end up looking boxy or top heavy. If you are top heavy, choose a fitted version with a belt, or longer length.

Onto the Cape, which is having quite the comeback this season. Great for disguising a round stomach and showing off a great pair of legs.

And last but not least, the anorak. Now, I’ve never really looked at an anorak as stylish, more for practical use. However, this season, designers have given it a revival and i have to admit, i’m impressed!

I hope you’ve been inspired by some of my Autumn/Winter coat selections. As always, my top styling tip is; wear it with confidence!

Love Frankie xx
